Paducah

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Scott Eric Bryant, who peacefully left this world on August 7, 2024, at Mercy Health Hospice in Paducah, Kentucky, at the tender age of 44.

Scott leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, cherished by his husband, Justin Ryan Vaughn; his father, Warren Bryant (Belinda); his mother, Robbie Felker (Tom Curtsinger); his sister, Candace Bryant (Jake Osborn); his brother, Christopher Bryant (Ewa); and his two nephews, Julian and Jack. He was also dearly loved by his grandfather, Edward L. Redpath of Gulfport, Mississippi, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and his adored dachshunds, Opry, Ryman, and Barkley.

Born on August 22, 1979, in Paducah, KY, Scott's life's journey took him across the country as a marketing expert for SMS Holdings in Nashville. Alongside his husband Justin, he created the online series Southern Gospel Sissy, a beacon of faith and hope during his battle with cancer, spreading the message of God's enduring presence. Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lamar and Patsy Bryant of La Center, KY, and Grandmother Patricia J. Redpath of Gulfport, MS.

A man of boundless compassion, Scott embraced everyone he met with open arms, never failing to see the good in others. His heart overflowed with love for both people and animals. The joy of his life was his husband Justin and three pups. His charitable efforts extended to animal welfare and advocating for the acceptance of LGBT individuals in all places of worship.

A memorial service to honor Scott's remarkable life will be held at Milburn Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church on August 24th at 2:00 PM, with Cindy Stevens-Pino officiating. In lieu of a visitation, doors will open at 1:00 pm for an opportunity to visit with the family. All who knew and loved Scott are welcome to attend and pay tribute to his legacy.

The family expresses deep gratitude to Mercy Hospice for their unwavering care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations in Scott's memory can be made to TN Dachshund Rescue or Balm Ministries, causes close to his compassionate heart. May Scott's spirit of love and acceptance continue to inspire all who knew him.
